Teachers from public and private schools of Georgia gathered outside the Ministry of Education on Uznadze Street, chanting, “I won’t teach for Russia,” to protest the government’s recent decisions.

The protesters carried banners reading “Teachers for a European Future” and expressed their determination to continue the fight for their cause, even if it risks their employment.

Parallel demonstrations took place throughout the day across Georgia, including in schools where striking students were joined by their teachers. The wave of protests also reached Tbilisi State University (TSU), where students demanded new elections and a suspension of academic activities.
