The ruling Georgian Dream party MP Gia Volski says that the opposition is speaking more and more on imprisoned former president Mikheil Saakashvili’s ‘poor psychological condition’ in prison.

“Pushing the issue of Saakashvili’s psychological condition may serve the goal to finally say: let’s release him from prison… Prison is not a place to feel comfortable there. People who commit crimes go there,” Volski said.

He stated that unlike the United National Movement government, noone tortures prisoners under the Georgian Dream leadership.

Volski says that the United National Movement is trying to realize the ideas which are coming from the ‘psychologically unstable’ Saakashvili.

He noted that he is not waiting for constructive actions by the party.
