Georgian Interior Minister discusses law enforcement partnership with US State Department official

Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Geka Geladze, on Monday held a meeting with Mark Tervakoski, Director for Europe and Asia at the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs at the US Department of State
"The Minister of Internal Affairs spoke about the ongoing and implemented reforms in the Ministry, as well as the measures taken to combat crime, including drug crime. The parties also discussed the fruitful partnership between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Bureau for Cooperation with Anti-Narcotics and Law Enforcement Agencies and future plans for cooperation.
The meeting was held of the sidelines of the ongoing international forum in the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, which is organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The forum is attended by heads of relevant agencies of various countries, experts in the field, and representatives of international and regional organizations," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
