Georgian Interior Minister meets with Armenian Ambassador to discuss regional security, police cooperation

Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia, Ashot Smbatyan.

According to the ministry’s press service, the meeting emphasized the importance of peace and cooperation for the sustainable development of the South Caucasus region. The two sides also discussed ongoing regional developments and security issues.

The minister highlighted the recent official visit of the Georgian Interior Ministry’s delegation to Armenia in June, during which productive meetings were held with the Armenian Prime Minister and his counterpart in the Armenian Interior Ministry. He expressed gratitude to the Armenian side for the high-level hospitality extended to the Georgian delegation.

The participants also reviewed the close and effective police cooperation between the two countries, expressing hope that bilateral efforts would further deepen this partnership.
