Russia has not included Georgia on the list of its ‘non-friendly’ countries, following its move to invade Ukraine.

The list of non-friendly countries approved by the signature of the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin includes: USA, Australia, Albania, Andorra, United Kingdom, EU member states, Iceland, Canada, Liechtenstein, Micronesia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, North Korea, Republic of South Korea , Singapore, Taiwan, Ukraine, Montenegro, Switzerland, Japan.

Georgia has not joined international sanctions on Russia, with the Georgian PM saying that it would have harmed the interests of the Georgian people.

However, the Georgian Dream government says that it has supported Ukraine in the international arena, in all resolutions, and also provided humanitarian and other aid for Ukrainian citizens.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 and continues bombing its citries.

Twenty percent of the Georgian territory is currently occupied by Russia.

The country has grabbed hundreds of hectares of Georgian land through  creeping occupation since the Russia-Georgia 2008 war.
