Georgia ranks 95th in Global Peace Index 2022

Georgia has ranked 95th among 163 foreign states in the 2022 Global Peace Index released in June, while ranking 89th in the same survey of 2021.
In Russia and Eurasia region Georgia ranked sixth.
It was the 16th edition of the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) headquartered in Sydney, with offices in New York, Brussels, The Hague, Mexico City and Harare.
It works with a wide range of partners internationally and collaborates with intergovernmental organizations on measuring and communicating the economic value of peace.
Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili said on Monday that per a 10-year-progress “Georgia ranked second” among the 163 countries in the index, stating that it was the merit of the founder of the Georgian Dream party, Bidzina Ivanishvili, and the current state authorities.
