The Ministry of Health will soon receive the "Sinopharm" vaccine, – said the Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia.
According to him, in the coming days, the Chinese-made vaccine will be authorized by the World Health Organization, after which it will be possible to call the drug for Georgia.
"The Ministry of Health is waiting for the Sinopharm vaccine in the near future, which is also on the waiting list for authorization by the World Health Organization and will have authorization in the coming days. By the end of April, this will be the vaccine with which we will give the second dose of vaccination to those who are getting the first vaccine in the current period, with an interval of 8 to 12 weeks. We will clarify more,” Tamar Gabunia said.
At the moment, more than five thousand citizens have been vaccinated with the vaccine of the British-Swedish company "Astrazeneka" across the country. From tomorrow, the immunization process will continue with the American "Pfizer".
