Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will meet in Brussels later today, NATO webpage said on Wednesday, following an earlier report by the alliance’s press office that the meeting was canceled.

Georgian Dream (GD) party MP Nikoloz Samkharadze stated earlier today that the meeting was canceled or postponed due to Stoltenberg’s health.

He suggested that Stoltenberg felt bad after today’s meeting with the representatives of Sweden and Finland as the countries formally applied for membership to the alliance.

The MP noted that Stoltenberg had coronavirus shortly before.

Garibashvili is visiting Brussels in the wake of Georgia’s submission of the EU membership questionnaire earlier this month.

While in Brussels,Garibashvili has already met with the President of the European Council Charles Michel where he said that Georgia’s top priority is the Euro-Atlantic integration.
