The ruling Georgian Dream party has plans to discuss imposing sanctions against Russia, along with various foreign states, to respond to the recent recognition of Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk regions as independent states by Russia.

“We will discuss the issue and inform the public as soon as the decision is made,” the ruling party Secretary General, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated earlier today.

The US, UK, Japan, Canada and several other foreign countries have already imposed economic sanctions against Russia.
