German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday, where she reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to supporting Ukraine amid ongoing war with Russia. Upon her arrival, Baerbock announced that Germany would provide Ukraine with €130 million in humanitarian aid.

“Given the stalemate between the US and Russia, it is absolutely important that we, Europeans, show that we stand by Ukraine and support it even more,” Baerbock said.

Her visit comes at a critical time, as Ukraine continues to seek stronger backing from European allies in its fight against Russian aggression.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys also visited Kyiv on the same day, underlining Lithuania’s unwavering support for Ukraine.

“We will continue to stand by you in your fight for freedom and sovereignty. Lithuania supports a strong, stable and successful Ukraine within the European Union,” Budrys said.
