Giorgi Gakharia opened a new office for the party “Georgia” in Chokhatauri today and answered some of media questions. According to Gakharia, restricting the pre-election campaign due to the virus means postponing the elections.

“If we all follow the rules and wear facemasks, then there will be no argument to cancel the election campaign. Then we must postpone the elections as well – there is no election without an election campaign” – Gakharia said.

Giorgi Gakharia stressed that in this situation it is necessary to provide financial and material incentives for doctors who work overtime due to the current situation.

“I can only say that we need to pay a little more attention to doctors. These people are the last line – they work 24 hours a day and in addition to attention, they need various kinds of support, including material support. There are many families in Georgia where several family members are doctors. Together they are involved in this struggle and these people need help. Among them are financial, elementary supplements to be given to them – they work overtime 24 hours a day” – Gakharia said.
