Georgian Education Minister, Armenian PM discuss deepening partnership in education, science, youth programmes

As part of his official visit to Armenia, Georgia’s Minister of Education, Givi Mikanadze, met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan, the Ministry said on Tuesday.

The meeting focused on the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries and opportunities to further deepen partnerships in new areas, the body added.

The discussion highlighted productive cooperation between Georgia and Armenia in education, science, and youth affairs, as well as the importance of expanding scientific ties and implementing innovative projects. The sides also discussed prospects for strengthening joint youth camps and exchange programmes aimed at fostering closer friendship between young people of the two nations.

Mikanadze presented to Pashinyan the new higher education reform concept recently unveiled by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed readiness to expand cooperation and implement specific joint initiatives, the Ministry said.
