Georgian Education Minister, Head of Poland's Diplomatic Mission discuss expanding cooperation

Georgian Education Minister Givi Mikanadze on Wednesday held a working meeting with the Head of the Diplomatic Mission of Poland, Artur Gębal, to discuss prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in the education sector.

The Ministry’s press office said the sides reviewed opportunities for strengthening the existing partnership between Georgia and Poland and discussed the implementation of joint educational initiatives.

Mikanadze provided detailed information on the main directions of the ongoing reforms in Georgia’s education system, the body added.

The meeting also focused on expanding cooperation in vocational, preschool and general education, as well as strengthening ties in the youth sector, including through the organisation of youth camps.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of broadening partnerships between higher education institutions and research centres in the two countries.
