Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Patrol Police Department, Goga Memanishvili, announced that law enforcement officers have detained several protesters who refused to comply with lawful police orders.

According to Memanishvili, demonstrators were attempting to block the road artificially.

“We repeatedly urged them to clear the roadway because there is no need for such an action. As you know, there is enough space in front of the Parliament where they can stand and protest. There is no reason for them to block the road. They are deliberately obstructing traffic, and accordingly, we legally demanded that they vacate the roadway. Some individuals refused to comply and were detained.
