The Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the Helsinki Commission, said on Tuesday the ‘unity in service of common principles’ against Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine was ‘essential’ for Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic future.

The Helsinki Commission added it was ‘heartening to see’ Parliament Speaker of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili and the country’s cross-party parliamentary delegation visiting Ukraine in the wake of the ongoing Russian invasion.

“Unity in service of common principles & against Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s war is essential & a key part of Georgia’s promised Euro-Atlantic future,” they wrote.

The Georgian MPs visited Ukraine last weekend.
