Georgian Defence Minister holds introductory meeting with Qatar’s Ambassador

Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Irakli Chikovani on Thursday held an introductory meeting with Qatar’s Ambassador to Georgia, Ali Yousef Abdulrahman Al Mulla.

The Ministry of Defence’s press office said Chikovani congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. He emphasised that strengthening bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Qatar is an important priority for the Georgian side.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Defence, also addressed plans for the Georgian Minister’s upcoming visit to Doha, at the invitation of the Qatari Vice Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as well as a prospective meeting with his Qatari counterpart.
