Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, has condemned what he describes as widespread speculation and disinformation aimed at discrediting the efforts of various government agencies responding to the aftermath of a recent disaster.

Chikovani expressed gratitude to the military personnel of the Defense Forces, firefighters and rescuers from the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, medical professionals, and all individuals tirelessly working to assist affected citizens.

He dismissed the ongoing speculation as baseless and ineffective.

“Attempts to undermine the efforts of these dedicated people will not serve the common good and will yield no results. These are pure speculations, unfounded, and have a very short lifespan,” Chikovani stated.
