“Yesterday was a record in vaccination – more than 26,000 vaccinations were given, but that is not enough. We all need to decide together and get vaccinated. This is a direct survival” -Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said at the presentation of Sighnaghi mayoral candidate Malkhaz Begiashvili.

As the head of government pointed out, there is no argument as to why people should not be vaccinated.

“On this background, when we have very strong, double-digit economic growth, we must maintain this pace and help the economy recover, but all this is hindered by the epidemiological situation. The government has done everything to improve the epidemiological situation and defeat the pandemic.

We have introduced vaccines. There are about three million vaccines in Georgia today. ONly very simple step – vaccination is left. Yesterday was a record number – more than 26,000 vaccinations were given, but that is not enough. That vaccines protect citizens from death and I repeat once again that there is no argument as to why people should not be vaccinated” – said Prime Minister.
