Georgian PM meets with Abu Dhabi Ports Group management to strengthen logistics cooperation

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the management of Abu Dhabi Ports Group to discuss ongoing and future strategic transport and logistics projects.

During the meeting, officials highlighted the major investment made by Abu Dhabi Ports Group in the Tbilisi Dry Port project, which is set to officially open in 2025. Discussions also focused on expanding cooperation in key logistics and transportation sectors.

Following the meeting, Kobakhidze and his delegation toured the Khalifa Port infrastructure, gaining insight into its operations and strategic importance.

“We have reviewed the port’s operations and the ongoing significant joint project. Additionally, there is growing interest in expanding operations in Georgia. We have expressed our full readiness to deepen cooperation, as this will strengthen our country’s economic position and maximize its potential. Collaboration with the United Arab Emirates and its institutions presents vast opportunities in every aspect,” Kobakhidze stated.
