FM highlights ‘high-level’ assessment of Georgia-UAE relations following leaders’ meeting

Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili said that the meeting between Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan focused on the development of bilateral relations and the positive momentum between the two countries.
Botchorishvili noted relations between Georgia and the UAE over recent years were assessed at the highest level, particularly in terms of economic cooperation and political dialogue.
“The relations that have developed between our two countries in recent years were highly assessed,” Botchorishvili said. “We also discussed future cooperation and reviewed ongoing processes in the region and globally.”
She stressed the importance of exchange of views between partners on regional developments, noting that such dialogue is essential in the current geopolitical environment.
The talks also addressed the importance of peace-oriented policies, especially in the region, as well as the development of the Middle Corridor, its potential, and Georgia’s role in regional and global connectivity.
Botchorishvili noted that strengthening connectivity remained a key factor in further advancing bilateral relations between Georgia and the UAE.
