Georgia’s national reserves hit a new record of $6.3 billion in January, following an additional $141 million increase, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced at today’s government meeting.

“Progress in our international reserve assets continued in January, as the National Bank further replenished foreign currency and other reserve holdings. In January alone, reserves increased by $141 million, bringing the total to $6.3 billion,” Kobakhidze said.

He also expressed gratitude to the National Bank, its president, leadership, and council members for their work in strengthening the country’s financial stability.
