Georgia’s Prime Minister meets new Ambassador to Portugal

Kobakhidze congratulated Tsurtsumia on his new role and expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen diplomatic ties between Georgia and Portugal.

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday met with Levan Tsurtsumia, the newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia to Portugal, to discuss bilateral relations and explore future cooperation opportunities, the Government press office said.
During the meeting, Kobakhidze congratulated Tsurtsumia on his new role and expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen diplomatic ties between Georgia and Portugal. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of enhancing political, economic, and cultural cooperation between the two nations, the press office said.
A veteran of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Tsurtsumia has previously served as Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine, and as Deputy Director of the International Legal Department. He also held a leadership role at the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
