Georgia’s PM meets Bybit CEO to discuss Fintech cooperation

Kobakhidze said the government supported the further development of information and communication technologies, as well as financial services

Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia, has met with Ben Zhou, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the international financial services platform Bybit.
The Prime Minister welcomed the interest of leading international fintech companies in Georgia, saying it once again demonstrated the country’s attractive investment environment and its potential in financial innovation and digital asset services, the government press office said on Wednesday.
During the meeting, attention was also drawn to the country’s positive economic performance. It was noted that Georgia’s average economic growth between 2021 and 2025 stood at 9.3%.
Kobakhidze said the government supported the further development of information and communication technologies, as well as financial services, and expressed readiness for active cooperation with Bybit in these areas.
The meeting was also attended by Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Government Administration, and Shota Lomtadze, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bybit Georgia.
