Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has said relations between Georgia and Turkey remain strong, with both countries seeking to further deepen their strategic partnership.

In an interview with Anadolu Agency, Kobakhidze said cooperation between Tbilisi and Ankara extends beyond top-level political ties and includes close coordination between government institutions.

“Georgia and Turkey have very good cooperation. We are proud of this and welcome the fact that relations and strategic partnership between our countries are very strong,” he said.

Kobakhidze said bilateral visits and meetings between senior officials take place regularly, describing the relationship as productive and results-oriented.

He added that the Georgian government is working to strengthen what he called an already constructive partnership between the two neighbouring countries.
