Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has praised Zurab Pataradze’s previous tenure as head of the Adjara government, describing it as highly successful and saying that “it was impossible to name a more worthy candidate” for the post.
Speaking at the official presentation of Pataradze as chair of the government of Adjara, Kobakhidze said the newly appointed official required no introduction, given his previous leadership experience in the region.
“He served as chair of the government of Adjara for many years and a great deal was achieved in the region during his tenure,” Kobakhidze said.
The Prime Minister highlighted a number of major projects completed under Pataradze’s earlier leadership, including the construction of the Batumi Stadium, which he described as “a real jewel” among the region’s achievements.
“Many large-scale projects were implemented, including the Batumi Stadium project, which is a true gem among the completed developments. There were also many other infrastructure projects and important initiatives,” he stated.
“His work as chair of the Adjara government was very successful and it was impossible to name a more worthy candidate,” he said.
Expressing confidence in the new appointment, Kobakhidze stated that Pataradze’s leadership would ensure not only the continuation of existing projects but also the launch of new initiatives that would benefit the region and the country as a whole.
“I am confident that under his leadership not only will the projects already underway continue, but many new initiatives will also be launched, and all of this will have a direct impact on our beautiful region of Adjara, on Batumi, and on the development of our country,” he said.
