Ivanishvili’s wealth drops by $2.2 bln, Forbes reports

Bidzina Ivanishvili, the billionaire and former Prime Minister of Georgia, has seen a decline in his reported fortune, according to the latest update from the Forbes Billionaires Index. The American business magazine, which updated its rankings on 1 April 2025, now values Ivanishvili’s wealth at $2.7 billion, down from $4.9 billion the previous year.

Forbes has not provided a specific explanation for the significant drop in Ivanishvili’s fortune. The publication merely reiterates general information about the businessman, highlighting his financial gains in Russia, his political career in Georgia, and his legal dispute with the Swiss bank Credit Suisse.

The decline has placed Ivanishvili at 1,299th position on the global billionaires list.

However, another influential financial publication, Bloomberg, presents
a significantly different valuation. According to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, Ivanishvili’s fortune currently stands at $7.35 billion.

In February 2025, Bloomberg estimated his wealth at a record high of $7.8 billion.
