Kuleba to Georgia’s new FM: “counting on Georgia’s full support in countering Russian aggression”

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has responded to the appointment of Ilia Darchiashvili as a new foreign minister of Georgia, stating that he is looking forward to working with him. 

“Looking forward to working together with Ilia Darchiashvili, the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Georgia. Counting on Georgia’s full support in countering Russian aggression,” Kuleba has tweeted. 

Darchiashvili, who previously chaired the Administration of the Government of Georgia, was appointed to the post yesterday, replacing David Zalkaliani who had occupied the positiont since 2018. 

Darchiashvili served as Georgia’s ambassador to Poland between 2012 and 2014.
