Head of the Georgian Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani on Wednesday discussed opportunities for future co-operation in energy and sustainable infrastructure with representatives of leading international investment company ACWA Power.

The Administration said the meeting focused on the growing momentum in relations between Georgia and Saudi Arabia, as well as prospects for expanding strategic partnership between the two countries.

The parties reviewed Georgia’s renewable energy potential, with particular attention given to solar and wind power projects, as well as the Black Sea submarine cable initiative.

Zhorzholiani noted Georgia’s stable business environment and strategic geographic position create “favourable” conditions for long-term partnerships with major international investors.

He also briefed the company’s representatives on the country’s economic performance and tax system, emphasising that Georgia welcomes the interest of leading global energy investors in the country’s renewable energy capacity and regional export potential.
