Lviv court sizes 154 properties of arrested Putin’s ally, opposition figure Medvedchuk

The Lviv district court has seized 154 properties belonging to Viktor Medvedchuk and his wife, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ally in Ukraine who was arrested earlier this week on treason charges.

 

The properties include 26 cars, 30 plots of land, 55 houses, 17 parking lots and a yacht.

 

Shares in  25 companies owned by Medvedchuk or his wife have also been seized.

 

Kyiv has offered the Kremlin to swap Medvedchuk for Ukrainian captives which the latter did not accept.

 

The Russian Duma speaker has stated that “if something bad” happened to Medvedchuk, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would bear responsible.
