Macron: we needn’t Russian gas

French President Emmanuel Macron claims that his country does not need Russian gas, Ukrainian media reports that Macron has told this to France 5 TV.

“Europe depends on Russian gas, but France does not need it,” Macron said.

He stated that Paris was working to purchase gas from other countries and also intended to support the imposition of an embargo on Russian gas and oil. 

Macron stressed that the issue of imposing an embargo on Russian oil was not postponed at his initiative.

Macron is now running in presidential elections to be elected for the second tenure. 

The second round of elections is scheduled this week.
