Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s participation in the 8th summit of the European Political Community is “important”, particularly in the context of discussions on regional connectivity.

Speaking ahead of the meeting in Yerevan, Botchorishvili highlighted Georgia’s role in connectivity initiatives across Europe.

“When we talk about connectivity, Georgia has a special role. The Prime Minister’s participation in the eighth meeting of the European Political Community and in discussions on connectivity is, of course, important,” she said.

The Minister added the summit will include a roundtable discussion focusing on connectivity and economic security — issues she described as significant both for EU member states and for the wider European region.

“The eighth meeting of the European Political Community is being held in Yerevan and the Prime Minister will take part. A roundtable discussion will address connectivity and economic security. This is important both for EU countries and for Europe as a whole,” Bochorishvili added.
