Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili has described the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) as one of the most significant political gatherings in Europe, highlighting its alignment with the policies of the new US administration.
Speaking during an address on Georgia’s international engagement, Botchorishvili said the conference played a “critical role” in promoting conservative values across Europe - values she said were increasingly under pressure.
“Georgia traditionally participates in this event. It is one of the most important conferences in Europe, especially given its expressed alignment with the new US administration and its policies,” Botchorishvili claimed.
She emphasized that CPAC offered a “prominent platform” for strengthening conservative principles that “resonate strongly with Georgian society.”
“In today’s Europe, where challenges to the protection of these values are evident, such platforms are crucial. Georgia is actively engaged in using this space to reinforce these ideals,” she added.
The Conservative Political Action Conference, originally launched in the United States, has in recent years expanded its presence internationally. Its European editions bring together right-leaning politicians, thinkers, and activists from across the continent and beyond.
