The head of Georgia’s State Security Service, Mamuka Mdinaradze, has formally introduced Zurab Tsiskarishvili as the new director of the agency’s Special Operations Department.
Mdinaradze, accompanied by his deputy Levan Kharabadze, on Thursday visited the department’s base where he toured its facilities, inspected weaponry and combat equipment, and held discussions with service members.
Mdinaradze also listened to the needs of personnel, pledged full support for their work, expressed gratitude for their service, and wished them success in their future operations, the SSS said.
