NATO bids farewell to Jens Stoltenberg as the alliance welcomes Mark Rutte, the former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, as the new Secretary General. The handover ceremony is set to take place on Monday at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

After serving as NATO’s Secretary General since 2014, Stoltenberg will address the North Atlantic Council for the final time in his capacity, alongside Rutte. Mark Rutte will then officially assume his new role and hold his first press conference as NATO’s chief.
