Metropolitan of Poti and Khobi emphasizes importance of dignity, national values

In a recent sermon, Metropolitan Grigol of Poti and Khobi emphasized the significance of dignity in preserving humanity, faith in God, patriotism, and love for fellow humans. “God, homeland, man – these are the values that form a strong foundation for both individuals and our entire nation,” the Eminence said.

He stressed no one was exempt from the responsibilities bestowed by love for one’s homeland, Christian faith, and membership in the human community.

“Each day brings new challenges, and overcoming them requires effort. Life is a struggle that demands intellectual work, spiritual merit, and the development of our best abilities,” said the top cleric.

Reflecting on the importance of living in the present, he added, “It is in the present that we shape our future and that of our nation and children. With our actions, faith, and knowledge today, we secure our future life.”

Eminence Grigol concluded by reminding the faithful of the “greatest commandment”- to sacrifice oneself for others. He also spoke about the importance of returning to healthy thinking and finding meaning in life.
