Georgia’s Interior Ministry on Tuesday said it had expelled 100 foreign nationals last month as part of coordinated measures against illegal migration.

The deportations were carried out by the Migration Department in cooperation with other units, the MIA press office said. Those removed came from countries including Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, Turkmenistan, India, Jordan, Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Russia, Kenya, Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Lithuania, Nigeria, Armenia, China and Kyrgyzstan.

All individuals were also banned from re-entering Georgia under current legislation, officials said.
