Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs on Tuesday said 56 foreign nationals had been expelled from the country in recent days as part of a coordinated enforcement effort led by its Migration Department.
The operation was carried out in close cooperation with relevant units of the ministry and involved what authorities described as “complex measures” targeting individuals found to be in violation of migration regulations.
Those deported include citizens of Turkey, India, Pakistan, Kenya, the Philippines, Iraq, Nigeria, Uganda, Bangladesh, Ghana, Jordan, Cuba, Russia, Sudan, Tajikistan, China and other countries.
The Interior Ministry said that, in line with existing legislation, all individuals removed from Georgia have also been issued entry bans, preventing their return to the country for a specified period.
