Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to attend the Georgia–Turkey national football match on 4 September.

The invitation was extended during a joint press briefing held in Turkey alongside President Erdoğan.

“I once again express my gratitude for the warm hospitality. I have already invited you to visit Georgia, but it would be great if you could join us on 4 September for the Georgia–Turkey match so we can watch it together. I’m sure it will be an excellent game,” Kavelashvili said.
