Georgia’s President Mikheil Kavelashvili has expressed deep sorrow following the death of renowned Georgian musician Manana Menabde.

In a statement on Tuesday, the president extended his condolences to Menabde’s family, colleagues, and the wider Georgian public.

“Manana Menabde secured a special place in Georgian culture and public life through her work. Her creative legacy will remain forever in the memory of our society. I offer my sincere condolences and sympathy to her family, friends, colleagues, and all of Georgian society,” Kavelashvili said.

Menabde, a singer, writer, painter, and actress, was widely celebrated for her unique interpretations of Georgian and international music and her contributions to Georgian arts over several decades.
