Georgian President visits Slovakia on official trip

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili arrived in the Slovak capital, Bratislava, on Wednesday for an official visit, accompanied by a delegation.

An official welcome ceremony was held at M. R. Štefánik International Airport upon his arrival.

The Presidential Administration said the official welcoming ceremony will be held at the Presidential Palace of Slovakia, where he will meet his counterpart, Peter Pellegrini. The programme includes both one-on-one and expanded-format talks, followed by a joint statement to the media.

During the visit, Kavelashvili is also expected to meet Deputy Prime Minister Denisa Saková and Speaker of the National Council Richard Raši.

The visit is scheduled to conclude on Friday.
