Georgian President pardons 59 people on Saint Nino’s Day

On the occasion of Saint Nino’s Day, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili granted pardon to 59 individuals.

The President of Georgia’s press service says 57 of those were pardoned, while two had their criminal records expunged.

“The exercise of the President’s exclusive constitutional authority is guided by the principles of humanism as well as the interests of the state,” the statement said.
