UN Secretary-General hosts Georgian President at opening of General Assembly’s 80th session

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on Tuesday Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, along with other world leaders, at the opening ceremony of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

President Kavelashvili also held brief meetings with fellow leaders during the event, the press office said.

The general debate of the Assembly’s 80th session officially opened today. Kavelashvili is scheduled to address world leaders from the UN podium on September 25.
