It is commendable that our sovereign country has established relations with a strong, growing economy like China, which will benefit not only us but also Azerbaijan and the entire region, President Mikheil Kavelashvili stated in an interview with an Azerbaijani television channel.

According to Kavelashvili, Georgia’s path aligns with the European idea, which is valuable and closely connected to the country.

“We have gained significant experience through this struggle and process. Our aspiration is to become a dignified and strong country, built on economic prosperity, national interests, traditions, and family values. Our path remains tied to the European idea, which is the most valuable and closest to us. We will continue our efforts and hope for changes in Europe, just as we have seen in the US.

We consider ourselves a sovereign, independent country. Based on our interests, we have the opportunity to engage with major global players, and China is undoubtedly one of them, offering vast potential. China also has strategic interests in this corridor. Its involvement in the process is highly beneficial for Georgia, Azerbaijan, and the broader region. It is encouraging that our sovereign nation is establishing ties with such a powerful and rapidly growing economy,” Kavelashvili stated.
