The Government of Georgia has issued a decree granting one-time financial assistance to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism. According to the decision, participants of World War II will receive 2,000 GEL, while family members of those who died in the war will receive 1,000 GEL.

The aid will be distributed to individuals registered in the electronic database of the State Service for Veterans Affairs, including WWII veterans and the deceased's families.

As per the decree, the Social Service Agency under the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health, and Social Affairs will oversee the distribution of the funds across the country. For those registered in Tbilisi, the Tbilisi City Hall will allocate the necessary funds and ensure the disbursement of assistance.

The order has already been signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and the Government Administration has officially announced the initiative.
