Georgian opposition figure Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, has called on supporters to join a protest rally on Tuesday, saying the opposition movement will continue regardless of turnout or political setbacks.

Speaking ahead of the planned demonstration in the capital city of Tbilisi, Gvaramia said the protest aims to move the movement “to a new stage” through a large-scale peaceful rally against the government.

“No number of people and no disappointment can stop this struggle. Disappointment is temporary, but the fight for values is permanent,” Gvaramia said.

The opposition leader said demonstrators will gather at 19:00 near Tbilisi State University’s first building before marching toward Rustaveli Avenue. He urged supporters to avoid any unlawful actions or escalation, stressing that the protest would remain peaceful.

Gvaramia also reiterated the opposition’s demand for democratic elections, including the possibility of early parliamentary elections, while stating that the opposition would continue political pressure on the ruling Georgian Dream party.
