Georgian Parliament Vice Speaker Nino Tsilosani has criticised Moldovan President Maia Sandu following Sandu’s recent comments suggesting that Russia had drawn Georgia back into its political orbit.

In a social media post, Tsilosani accused Sandu of belonging to a political camp that, in her words, contradicts the principle of national sovereignty. She claimed that the Moldovan leader had previously expressed support for Moldova’s potential unification with Romania, and argued that this position made Sandu’s political alignment “easy to understand”.

Tsilosani’s remarks came in response to Sandu’s statement that Russia had used the “weapon of fear of war” and messaging around the consequences of electoral choices to influence Georgia’s trajectory.
