The OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission for Georgia’s October 2 municipal elections states that they are interested in the whole electoral process and not only in the election which is a ‘top of iceberg.’

The mission head says that is why the OSCE/ODIHR long-term observers have been in the country for five weeks on.

The mission says that their conclusions on the elections will cover the whole electoral process.

The United National Movement opposition party says that if ‘almost all foreign observers say that the elections were fair, we will accept the results.’

MEPs have called on parties to accept the election results if the OSCE/ODIHR mission approves them.
