Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has expressed support for Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence, highlighting Armenia and Georgia’s “active cooperation” on international platforms as “key to lasting peace” in the South Caucasus.

Speaking at a joint press briefing with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Pashinyan said the bilateral collaboration provided a foundation for peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“This is a historic opportunity for our region. I wish Georgia long-lasting peace and the resolution of challenges related to its territorial integrity. The challenges in our region are complex, but we have a historic opportunity to overcome them. I briefed my Georgian colleague on developments in Armenia, the regional and international agenda, the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and Armenia’s relations with Turkey and Russia. Georgia is a very important partner for Armenia in the context of Armenia-EU relations,” Pashinyan said.

He described political dialogue between the two countries as highly active and stressed the need to further strengthen economic cooperation. “We must identify areas where we can collaborate more effectively to tackle challenges and maximize opportunities. We value our warm relations. Our next meeting will be held soon, and we expect tangible results from our regional, bilateral, and international cooperation,” he added.

Pashinyan concluded by thanking Georgia for its hospitality and emphasizing the strong personal rapport with Kobakhidze. “I want to thank Prime Minister Kobakhidze for such a friendly, fraternal reception,” he said.
