The newly renovated equestrian school and hippodrome were officially opened in Poti on Sunday. The facilities now include modern stables and locker rooms, along with updated school infrastructure.

New horses were purchased for the school, which will allow students as young as 10 to begin training. Additionally, younger children will have the opportunity to ride ponies.

The renovated hippodrome was toured by the Mayor of Poti, Beka Vacharadze, along with Giorgi Khakhubia, the majoritarian MP representing Poti, Khobi, and Senaki.

A key feature of the new school is that students will be trained by professional coaches.

The Poti hippodrome is preparing to host various competitions, including show jumping, horse racing, and more.

“It’s very important for us that the youth of Poti have a wide range of sports options. We will continue to implement similar projects in the future,” said Mayor Vacharadze.
