The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia on Thursday said its employees had detained one accused of unlawfully storing and disseminating intimate material on social media platforms.

“The investigation revealed the suspect kept private, intimate images and videos of the victim on his/her mobile phone without consent. On August 19, he allegedly uploaded the material to TikTok, and the following day shared it via Instagram with the victim’s brother”, the body said.

The Office added it would request pre-trial detention as a preventive measure.
